Default Poetry anyone???

I'm going to be planning Yr 5 Poetry this afternoon/evening and haven't done it for about 10 years, apart from The Highwayman which we cover in June...

Just a quickie... I need to read a range of poems from two contrasting authors... I don't even know one!

Micheal Rosen & ??? Got loads of Micheal Rosen ones, but what makes someone contrasting? Spike Milligan, Brian Moses, David Orme all seem to write the same stuff....

Thank you

is basically what I'll be doing!

I was struggling as I actually took this class last year for poetry, and I know we did some classic stuff, Captain, Oh Captain, and Casabianca... in year 4! A tough act to follow...

Depends what you are doing really, classic, narrative, performance - I've only really got paper
