Havnt been to an interview for two years only just gone back to suply work after temp contract came to an end. I am a bit scared as I'm sure they are going to ask me about APP which I havnt done before as have been in foundation where assessment is done using e-profile, whenever it was talked about in our staff meetings foundation where sent off do our e-profiles. Any advice would be really appreciated as feel so nervous really want this job its at a school that I have always wanted to teach at.

Got the whole weekend thinking about it have a big gap between my taught lesson (10am) and my formal interview (2pm).

Thanks

Do you have to stay at the school all day?! If so, make sure you interact with all the staff as unofficially this will be part of the interview!
Try to relax and be yourself (I know that is easier said than done!) and show them how great you are

Don't worry too much about APP, it seems lots of schools are at very different stages with it anyway. So long as you are able to show that you know there are different APP grids for reading, writing and maths, and in particular the different assessment focuses in each area. Teachers are encouraged to collect evidence in an ongoing way, so what you hear children saying, what you see them doing, not just written evidence.

Good luck with your interview.

Good luck from me too. All I can say is prepare yourself by looking over potential interview questions (not hundreds of them but a range of them) I'm pretty sure there are some on here! Try not to stress (easier said than done though - been there done that etc.) Above all try to take as much to and from the interview as possible as it is another experience that can be a benefit to you. I found that when I started going for interviews I came away having a real gut feeling about the interview and whether or not I actually wanted to work for those on the interview panel. My last interview and the job that I got was a mixture, the lesson I felt was dreadful as I was so nervous but by the time the formal part came I was actually

ing during the questions because I felt more at ease (either that or I am totally insane)

Good luck with the interview!!

As a poster said above, many schools are at different stages with it and from my experience as a trainee teacher, they can often interpret certain parts differently as well. Don't worry!
