Question Advice Please-first lesson obs (Y3) & interview

These forums are fantastic, I've only joined recently but feel like I've got some friends out there who I can ask for advice. I've got my first interview next week and have to plan a 30 minute lesson for Y3- anything I want. I've got lots of

An inspector recently told me that they (Ofsted) liked my lessons because the kids learnt loads, progressed well in the lesson, I pushed them, but they (the kids) didn't necessarily realise they were being pushed out of their comfort zone coz of the way I worked... if that helps?! whizbang lessons, but the kids enjoyed them and got a sense of achievement and an 'oh yeah!' realisation moment out of them...

Default I got the job!!!`

Thanks to you for responding Nutty. My lesson went really well and the observer (dep head) said it was great and that both he and the children were hanging on my every word!

I am thrilled to bits and unbelievably excited. NQT year here I come....

Know exactly what you mean and you have summed it up perfectly, I've had those same emotions: feelings of-being euphoric, anxious, overwhelmed, hung over (I'm still a bit), excited, yep and many more too.
