Default part time infants job

Hi
I've just come back to teaching after 9 years. Have been supply since Easter. All my full time experience was with Y2-4 but now i'd like to concentrate more on infants. Am looking in TES but very few jobs in there in Kent. It used to be that after May half term TES would be packed. Is this just due to recession or do jobs get advertised earlier/later now? Is there somewhere else EY gets advertised? What about children's centres?

Also - I'm back at College so can only work 3 days/week. Do part time jobs exist? Haven't found any yet.

Thanks

I'm pretty much in the same position as you - I would love a permanent 1 or 2 day a week job to fit in with my other teaching commitments (I was out of school teaching for 8 years) but nothing has come up yet!

Part time jobs are sought after and often seem to go to people who already work in the school - which is why I've returned to supply work as a means of networking and getting my face known.

In my area, I look at the local authority website which has teaching jobs and, separately, work in early years settings. I'm sure Kent County Council must have the same set-up - have a look on their website.

Good luck!
