Default Interview tomorrow!! HELP?!?!?!

Had a letter in the post this morning, I have an interview tomorrow, it is for a permanent job in a reception/year 1 class. I have to teach a 30 min lesson, then 25 minute interview. So nervous as it's my first ever interview. I have taught the class a few times as supply.

I thought to do simple counting up to 20 as group to set the mood, and number recognition on the board, mainly for rec, and numbers bigger/smaller than for year ones.

Reception will then do number recognition bingo.

Year 1s do bingo where they have to pick up two different

What do you think?

Well done on getting the interview.

Your ideas sound lovely and 30 minutes actually isn't that long.

Have you any idea of ability/how many children/support?

Just in case +1 and +2 is too much for year 1 (hopefully it won't be!) Perhaps add in some differentiation, LAP - just recognise numbers; MAP - +1; HAP number bonds to 10?

Remember at the beginning to introduce yourself, set expectations and try and learn a few names. The song at the end sounds great too.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Well done on getting an interview, your lesson sounds great, full of fun, you can't go wrong with singing with the little ones at all. Good luck.
