Default Job Offer - Permanent vs. Supply

I was just offered the Year 5 position at the school where I have been doing supply for small-groups and tutoring. I was doing 1/2 days through my agency at only £55/day, but the school was paying me seperate for the tutoring at £25/hour (which would continue).

I'm just wondering, since I didn't know if it would be right to ask them how much I would then be making, what is the pay of a regular salaried teacher each month compared to supply? Am I shooting myself in the foot to take a permanent post? Is there a way to politely ask how much I will be paid?

Well done !!!!!!!!

There is a national pay scale depending on the level you are at. If you google you'll find out the exact amount but for a NQT I think it's about £20000 ish. A supply teacher gets paid at the same scale usually as a permanent teacher but what they do is divide the wage by the working days of the year so although you might get more daily on supply, you would get it all year on a permanent contract. If that makes sense.
