Default How to Find Teaching Vacancies

I ask this because I am only familiar with how things worked in America, where I am from. In schools there, you could log onto the district homepage and find a link to human resources or something similar to find if any schools in the area were hiring for certified (qualifies, not crazy) teaching positions.

How does it work here in the UK? (To find actual teaching posts...not supply.) Is there ONE general area I can go to find out about schools in my area with vacancies posted? I'm looking particularly in the Dudley area so I don't have to keep travelling all the way into Birmingham for work.

Have a look on your local county councils website, they will have all the vacancies there. Sometimes there is a bulletein sheet in schools with all the new vacancies. Then there is TES which will advertise some local jobs.

E teach is quite good also as you can target the search that you want to do re vacancies (the type of teaching job that you're looking for and area that you want to work in).
