What could they ask me?

That's a long time!

I'm not in favour of it myself, but a school I work in does it... typical questions from the kids are not dissimilar from the ones from the adults! What makes a fair teacher, what would you do if a child did thisandthat, what clubs would you run... Don't underestimate them - esp. if it's KS2!

Parents Evenings tonight, so not going to write lots, but this is what our school council asked (it was for a finance officer):

Question 1
Why do you want to work in this school?
Question 2
How would you describe your personality?
Question 3
Can you give us an example of when you’ve worked with children before?
Question 4
What do you enjoy about working with children?
Question 5
Describe a situation in which you had to be firm with children.
Question 6
The phone is ringing, someone is at the door and a child comes to you crying. Which do you deal with first?
Question 7
If a child was crying but wouldn’t talk to anybody, how would you approach the situation?
Question 8
What qualifications have you got and how would you use them in this job?
Question 9
What challenges do you think there will be in this job and how will you meet them?
Question 10
Describe some ways you might become involved in the whole school.

Recently, a school I was in interviewed for a new headteacher. The school council compiled only three or four questions, cant remember them exactly but they were along the lines
what are your achievements
how will you make our school a nice place to learn

Oh and "do you like sausage sanwiches?" when i asked them about this one the council said they wanted to see if the head had sense of humor!

Well Finance / Admin Officer. It was quite a list, but I'm not at the easiest school and the departing member of staff had been a bit of an ogre and made several people / atmosphere in the school quite miserable, so we felt it was essential we got the right person as they have such a pivotal role in the school office.

I have to admit, the questions do seem intimidating, not sure I would want to answer them! However, it worked well, the person we appointed really enjoyed meeting and talking to the school council and she's been fantastic!
