Erm, strictly KS2 myself, but it's quiet on here this week... so thought I'd have a stab...

Can you base it on fireworks... onomatopoeia? I don't know how they teach phonics in the infants, but could this be your base???

ions for the Letters and Sounds manual there are phonics games in that that you could get inspiration from and adapt.
