Default I didn't get it

Well they just rang and said I didn't get it. Bit disappointed to say the least especially as I've felt so crap this week anyway. They said my interview was great (bit of a surprise as I always felt this let me down in the past) but that my lesson was too safe, I didn't take enough risks and that they have a lot of very determined parents at that school who expect their children to be stretched. But is that not very difficult to gauge at an interview lesson where you don't know the children or their capabilities. Ah well. And to add insult to injury I have felt sick for the past 2 days and now have real tummy probs so not even anticipating a glass of wine tonight. Bugger!!

Sorry to hear that Danfur, but you're right, how are you supposed to know what's going to challenge a class? In another class you're lesson might have been a real challenge. It's the luck of the draw I guess, but the fact that you did a good interview is a boost.

Have a comforting hot chocolate and watch a chick flick and you'll feel better in the morning.

I think they'd be better off, rather than telling you why you didn't get it, telling you why the person who did get it, got it... then that's something positive to aim for, rather than a negative crit about yourself! Much more user-friendly!

There's always Saturday night for wine!
