Thanks everyone for well wishes. Your exactly right gnomoospan, adrenalin must have kicked in because I felt really bad this morning but just got through it. Teaching went well I think. They seemed to like my lesson, my timings were completely out though cos I forgot my watch and the clock in the classroom permanently showed 5 past 4 so finished the starter and there was only 15 mins left of entire lesson. oh dear. Never mind, one of the candidates has dropped out so now there is only 3. I've no

how it's going so far so just have to see on friday after the interview. Anything anyone can think of brushing up on before Friday, was thinking of looking at Every Child Matters stuff because I don't feel I know enough about it, anything else?

Well done! God, if I didn't have a clock, my starters would end up being desserts!

I heard 'Every Child's Future Matters' in Monday's staff meeting... arghhh! How many more variations can they come up with?! It was a sustainability meeting, going to be a whole new form schools have to fill in from Jan, rather than a paragraph size box on the SEF, so may be an issue?

Good luck for Friday!

Sorry Danfur, just reading this now too! Glad today went well, good luck for Friday, will think of you. Just be thoroughly prepared on the basics, you know, behaviour management, communication (parents, colleagues etc), angry parent - how would you deal? planning - differentiation, tracking, assessment for learning, your vision / philosophy, classroom organisation, intervention strategies (wave 1, wave 2, wave 3), also be prepared for questions about your lesson, how you think it went, what you would change etc. I'm sure if you can talk about all the above you will be well prepared.

Good luck again.

s, i've swotted up on all of that plus i'm about to check the school's website and ofsted again just to be well prepared. I'll let you all know the result tomorrow. I'm not terribly optimistic because I always manage to make a mess of interviews but I do really like this school so I'm really hoping it'll be good.
