Really, I thought it was Aled. How weird is it to find out something you thought as a child wasn't true, it's like finding out Santa isn't real!!

I'm not sure how they justify alowing them. But it's interesting how desparately some teenagers think they need them.

I was talking with a year 3 pupil a few days back. He was fascinated when I told him when I was that age there were no mobile phones & no computers. He just couldn't imagine life without them.

I didn't know it wasn't Aled Jones singing walking in the air, Ruby! Do you know the name of the boy who did sing it?

am I?

Back on topic though, if I could change one thing, it would be to ban the dreaded question 'Why are you on supply then?' or variations thereupon along the lines of 'Don't you want a 'proper' job?'

I have a few stock replies, but basically say politely that I have so far been unable to get a permanent post as there aren't too many about, and at the moment I'm getting by on supply. Often I also add how lucky I am to have completed my NQT year in one school.

If I could change one thing it would be to have any calls for supply the night before as I hate having to leave my phone on during the night in case of a call. I'm useless at being woken up at the best of times and having a phone call at 7.00 kills me!!!

Aw thanks Nutty! That is me and Mr HJ on our wedding day, the only day this summer where it was glorious sunshine, I think it was about 30 degrees.
