I'd get my pay packet right!
Out of 12, 9 have been wrong so far!
Arghh!
How can they get away with not paying five days for three months, and over Xmas too.... and ta To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. off 1.15 hours as you were 20 minutes late for school, because the school didn't call you in time?!

I keep a spreadsheet record of days I've worked and pay I have received. It helps me keep track and provides proof if queried!!!!!

I need to actually get To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ies of timesheets it seems. My schools don't show me the timesheets, they get me to sign them the first day of the month that I work for them, in case I don't see them again that month. Or they just sign them for me. Think I've only signed 3 out of about 40!
I've always just thought that Capita would keep a To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. Now I've got to go to all those schools and see if they've kept To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. Trouble is, if I have problems with this, I've lost. I've got my own record (dairy, spreadsheet etc.) and I've signed the visitors book at the schools as I've arrived and left, but I haven't got any real proof I was there, like a timesheet I've signed after wor To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. Bit silly aren't I?! I need to be able to prove I've worked 26 weeks too from last year, Capita haven't been able to sort that out as they don't keep the timesheets either. Just got to hope that the schools keep To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ies... I'm sure it'll work out in the end. There's no way they should refuse to pay you for work you have completed. Imagine doing a day for free!!!!!
On the other hand, Select doesn't even do timesheets which makes sense really!

Oh no! Been on the blower to Capita, who said in no uncertain terms, even when I quoted law to them, that it's up to the schools what they pay for a day...
I've been getting only 2.5 hours for afternoons and 3 for mornings in the loveliest school! Really do not want to take any more work there out of principle! eek
I know this is wrong, that they have to pay 6.48 or something, so I have to do something about it now... but really don't want to To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. t, as it's my fav. school... or was! [smilie=rk01_supersayan.gif]

Hi everyone, new to teaching and supply, finding it difficult to keep track of payments despite recording all in diary. Any tips on this and getting schools to ask for you by name? Thanks Caroline To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Getting schools to ask for you by name...
Make an impression with the cleaners and the secretary and the TAs in the classroom! Other teachers are so busy, they don't often get to see the supply teachers, let alone get to know them... the TAs see you at work, the cleaners talk to the HT a lot, and the secretary is often the one who makes the call, and often pops in and out of lessons with notes for kids etc., so gets to see you in action more than most!
Mark the work well... it's worth spending an extra half hour mar To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. at the end of the day, it doesn't often go unnoticed...
Hope that helps!

Hiya and welcome to the forum and supply. For keeping track of pay (as I was with 4 agencies) I had one of those folders with all the plastic wallets in and every week I would put that weeks time sheets in there. I would ALWAYS make sure I had my To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. y of the timesheet before leaving the school. I would also keep a diary of where I had been/what day/which agency/how long etc. Then when the payslip came in I would cross reference against timesheets and diary and tick them off, and put the payslip in the wallet with the relevant timesheets. Took a bit of time but was well worth it in the end. Luckily however all of my agencies were very organised and I never had any problems at all with pay. I know some places pay by the hour and not by daily rate as I was paid but I would just clarify how many hours you are getting paid for mornings/afternoons/full days and go from there.
As for getting asked back I agree with Nutty entirely, ma To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. sure you talk to cleaners, secretary etc and smile A LOT. Also take the time to make a trip to the staff room during lunchtime, even if only for 5 minutes. Then they see your face. Another thing I found that helped even with just the agencies is ringing them after your day (if it was good) and tell them what a nice day you've had. Then if you ring before they speak to them, they can tell the school that you've been on the phone already to say what a lovely day you had blah blah. People always love to hear you've enjoyed being in their school. Mostly just try to be friendly and happy as much as you can, and chat to people when you see them.
