Default Supply Teaching: How Many Agencies?

Hello there... Im a NQT after completing a GTP in a local school. Didnt manage to get an ICT teaching job in the end of term interviews etc so I have registered with two agencies.

My question is - how many agencies should I register with. Both the agencies that I have registered with (obviously) have stated that I should only deal with one agency.

Any help or advice for me please?

Phill

Hi,
I always think it's better to have more than one agency to start off with - a bit of competition never hurt anyone!!
Then you can see which agency tries the hardest to get you some work - you could always promise to go exclusive if they get you enough regular work!

There have been several former posts about supply agencies - the majority of people on this forum seem to prefer working direct with schools if possible (I definitely do as I get all the money I'm due and the agency don't get to take a huge wad for all my hard work!) Have a look at some of these posts...

Do you think any local schools would take you on directly? Maybe the school you did GTP in?
