  • Special Needs Planning

    Hello everyone :-)

I'm an NQT who has just been signed on for casual supply at a special school. I've been told that for PPA cover planning will be provided but when I need to cover for sickness/absence I will need to do the planning myself.

The classes consist with children that have autism/down syndrome - where can I get planning s to make sure I am meeting their needs?

    Any advice/tips would be appreciated!!

    Thanks :-)

~~Hi, I just saw on the forum that you were looking for resources for supply in SEN working with children with Autism. I have a similar dilemma. I sometimes have work in a speech and language unit. They often call on me because I usually come prepared, however this now means that the class teacher never leaves planned work and at times I find it difficult to come up with work for them. They are 5,6 & 7 year olds. I often resort to a book and craft, but I'm starting to run out of s because I cant just do what I would do in the usual FS classes. It's hard to tailor it to them every time and resources are lacking for one off s.
Just wondering if you found any good resources?
    Thanks
