Time filler - Quiz

The kids love quizzes, any kids!

I put up 3 columns on the IWB, headed boys, girls, Miss.

Ask the questions in turn, b/g/b/g, two points each. If they don't get it, pass it on for one point, if neither get it, I get the point.

Here's the key... anyone shouting out/not taking turns/putting people off, I get a point. Girls the quietest team? They get a point. Boys sitting nicely? They get a point.

Quizzes can become very rowdy if done as first hand up/finger on the buzzer, these extra points calm things down and make sure everyone can have a turn.

I found a pack of children's quiz questions in a local jumble sale, keep them in my bag.

Draw a 3x3 grid on the board and then fill each square with a number (depending on age/ability). These numbes are the ANSWERS and the ONLY answers!!

Boys/Girls and you. Ask a question, hands up and get an answer. Shouting out, sillyness, giving an answer that's not on the grid you get the point, otherwise the relevant team does.
