Default Top Tips: How to make friends and influence people.

No. 1 Leave the classroom tidy!

The caretakers and cleaners are often the first/last people to speak to the Head in a day, and you don't want the last thing the Head hears to be how there was stuff all over the floor in the room that supply took!

Anyone for No. 2...

Default how to make Friends and I P

Be very nice to your secretary. Smile sweetly and remember her (his) name if you are called back.Greet them with a cheery "Hello, Mrs Bloggs, here I am again!" If the kids are reasonable, say how lovely/polite/respectful they are, not like some other schools (suck in breath through pursed lips). Remember, it will often it will be they who make the phone call. Similarly, cooks, cleaners and caretakers as they can provide juicy gossip about the teacher you're covering for and can give you a hint as to how long you will be needed. You may not even see your Head.
