Dannie - yeah, sounds like you're close, only the co-ordinates are all along the axis, they can't put them anywhere like on a pin board... imagine a peg board where there were only pegs around the edges, or in the shape of a cross in the centre, and your elastic band had to go in a straight line...

Ooh, I like that website Danfur - especially the maths puzzles one - I use their CD a lot but didn't realise they had a website.

Yeah i like it too nutcracker. I found it really good if you go somewhere and they haven't set any work to give the children a list of puzzles and offer a prize to the first one with the correct answer. They love it and they all try, even the naughty ones.

I think I'm going to print them off and laminate them and the children can help themselves if they have finished work or need occupying. As you say, a prize for managing them.

nutcracker, great minds think alike, i've done that too. I did the games as well as they are quite good. I've got them in the finished work activities box. And most of them only need some counters or dice which is great resources wise.

I remember doing pin art when I was in the infants! We used cotton though rather than drawing the lines.
