New to supply - Mixed Year 3/4

About to do my first 2 days as a supply teacher at the end of this week in a mixed year 3 & 4 class.

As yet i'm unsure what's been left for me - will be ringing the school tomorrow to find out.

In the meantime has anyone any foolproof

s up your sleeve just in case, as well as some 5 minute fillers) or plan 2 days on a common theme -

e.g oceans,

• literacy writing about desert islands or life from a sea creature's point of view,
• writing own problems related to ocean facts (and solving them!) for maths,
• ocean art - mural or individual pictures of sea creatures,
• making games related to the sea, including all resources, instructions etc,

etc etc etc!!

I am in my 4th year of a teaching degree and have been offered part time work covering ppa with year 3/4 split and a year 6. Year 6 I will be doing Re and Art, and 3/4 I have an hour to do whatever I want, then take them swimming and then have half hour before lunch. Any
