Silent Robots - one child is robot with eyes closed. Partner must direct them around the classroom without using words. Have a few moments to decide on their signals - e.g. touch to left shoulder means turn left...hand on head means stop...hand on centre of back means walk forward...

Draw what I say - partners sit back to back. One child describes how to draw a simple object (house, car, bike, face...) without naming it. Partner tries to draw the object by carefully listening to instructions.

Bench challenge - rearranging group of children (according to height, age, alphabet...) without stepping off of the bench.

During my NQT year we had a PE person come in and do things like this. One of them was getting a group of children 5 or 6 and getting them to stand in a circle holding hands. You hook a hula hoop onto one of their joined arms (obviously by unjoining it first, lol) and they have to figure out how to get the hoop around the circle and back to the first person by wor

I probably know others but I can't think of them now.

I used to call that game 21's out but it is a fantastic game. My class used to try and get tactical to get specific people out. I've never taught a class who haven't enjoyed it

t counting (depending on their age) you can do it in mulitples of 3s etc the legs need to be stretched out in front of them and each leg is counted and lifted at the same time. Examle 1, 2, and each time they reach 3, 6, 9 etc child on that number tucks 1 leg under them-it continous around until chn have both legs tucked under and cannot participate. The winner is whoever is left! Quite a fun game and the interview panel loved it.

Another one that my class love is unlucky 13. Everyone in a circle standing and counting upwards and whoever the number 13 falls on is out and sits down-this continues until 1 person is standing. Great fun and great bribery tecnique for behaviour.
