OMG! I could have sworn there was one, an obvious one, but I can't think of one, and I've just Googled and not found one either - the closest I got was Little Red Hen!!

Can they write their own, set to the tune of, say, Bob the Builder?!

Oh yes, that would be good, Jenny! I know the tune so what are the words?

I had given up looking and had started to write my own rap... but I'm no rap star!

*locates book*

Red Riding Hood put on her cloak, put on her cloak, put on her cloak
Red Riding Hood put on her cloak - yes she did!

Then -

Mummy filled a basket with food...
Red Riding Hood went into the forest...
The big bad wolf hid behind a tree...
The wolf talked to Red Riding Hood...
The wolf ran off to Grandma's cottage...
The wolf put Grandma in the wardrobe...
Red Riding Hood knocked on the door...
Red Riding Hood spoke to the wolf...
The wolf chased her round and round...
Daddy came and rescued her...
Then the wolf ran away..
Then they loet Grandma out...
Then they had a lovely tea...

It's not a masterpiece by any manner of means! I think when I used it I changed it a bit so it fitted the tune better - but this is the basic song, I've just

s welcome!

The wolf sees the girl,
With a red, red hood,
Skipping to Grandmas,
Through the dark, dark wood.
The bad bad wolf snarled
“I’ll get you, Hood”
I’ll dress up as Granny
And eat you for pud!”

What big eyes,
What big eyes,
What big eyes you’ve got! WOLF!
All the better,
All the better,
All the better to SEE YOU WITH!

What big ears,
What big ears,
What big ears you’ve got! WOLF!
All the better,
All the better,
All the better to HEAR YOU WITH!

What big teeth,
What big teeth,
What big teeth you’ve got! WOLF!
All the better,
All the better,
All the better to EAT YOU WITH!

The wolf jumped up
And tried to bite,
But Red Red Hood
Took up the fight!
She didn’t crumble,
Or let the wolf win .
Then the Axe man came
And did the wolf in!

What big eyes,
What big eyes,
What big eyes you’ve got! WOLF!
All the better,
All the better,
All the better to SEE YOU WITH!

What big ears,
What big ears,
What big ears you’ve got! WOLF!
All the better,
All the better,
All the better to HEAR YOU WITH!

What big teeth,
What big teeth,
What big teeth you’ve got! WOLF!
All the better,
All the better,
All the better to EAT YOU WITH!
