I thought of having a themed quiz, e.g. films, music etc. Any good websites?

3D Nativity Stars! I get them making stars... practice on A4 squared paper first, draw a circle just above centre, oh, I have a template somewhere! Fab on silver/gold card, but nice enough on A4 white.

Here goes, it's kinda like this (haven't done it yet this year...)

circle with 10cm diameter the bottom of which sits in the middle of the page, rather than the centre of the circle being there.
Cross through it, horizontally from side to side of paper, vertical line from top to bottom. The vertical line underneath should be longer than the one going upwards, like a nativity star.

Arghhh! Where's my whiteboard!

Next, draw another cross, at 45degrees to the first one, only going as far as the circumference of the circle.

Join the tips of the first cross to the tips of the second cross, making the wings of the star.

Score the first cross on this side of the card.
Score the second cross on the reverse side of the card.

It's not as hard as it sounds... ohhhhhhhhhhhh!

You're welcome.

I finish a week on Tuesday too... 1pm... I'm actually contracted to do Tuesday mornings, a booster group, which I'm sure will not be happening, but hey, they have to pay me!

That star is well worth having a go yourself first, the kids love it as it's really 3D, we used to do a huge one for above the stage when it was production time. Good luck, and I'll try and think of some more!

Anyone else?!

of them. I did Christmas hangman with Year 6 and Christmas pictionary with Year 3/4. The pictionary worked well as it was a less able group and the children could pause at any point in their picture, giving the class a chance to guess what it was (they only get three guesses). I had one child choosing guessers and one child drawing the picture. [smilie=friends_emoticon.gif]
