Hi...

The KS1 classes I've been in have known which of four groups they're in, and are quite happy doing a rotation: 1 free writing, 1 free choice, 1 with me doing science/history etc., and 1 with the TA doing guided reading... So you could probably just come up with one science lesson for each day and be done with!

Life cycle of a butterfly? Lots of lovely work you can do on this... Reading, sequencing, art work, DT and science...

Good luck!
