I have to try the volume control slider! I have two pages open ready on the IWB, one with a smiley, one with a real grouch face... just click on whichever I feel at the time.. if the smiley stays up, the kids have a better lesson (because I'm in a better mood/able to teach!) Team points fly round the classroom, and they achieve more.
It's hard when you're on supply I think to keep kids on task, you generally get uninspiring worksheet fillers to give them and have to make the most of a bad situation!
Music in the background works with your own class, but only on supply if you've already got a good relationship with the class I think, otherwise they take the P!
