2 books I can recommend for self learning sign language are: 'signs make sense' by Cathy Smith (?) and another of hers which has escaped my memory at the mo.
Try looking on the RNID and CACDP websites, they may have links on there to other places for learning BSL or websites to go to.
Will look for those books (will send hubbie up to the loft again!) at the weekend if you want the exact author/title.
