They're good, my favourite for 10 years, until they wrote to me to say they support the use of HLTAs/CSs for cover as I described to them:

I rely on day-to-day work from local schools for when teachers go on courses/have interviews etc. or are sick for a few days. This work has kept me going for the last two years, and supply teachers in general for years before that... But they agree with the Gvt that HLTAs/CSs are ok for this. Teachers go sick with no planning for days at a time I've found... and TAs are doing this work!

The NUT don't support this at all. It looks like they're the only ones... coincidently the only ones I know who don't have subscription payments from CSs/HLTAs.

But if you're not going to stick with supply, are after full-time perm. work, then stick with them... they're excellent in every other way I've found!

I'm just having a great big moan at the moment.. hence the nickname!
