Well, so far contacted 81 schools (I got a list of about 300 that are within an hour of me). Had a few replies back but have unfortunately been working through an agency, and so have had to turn them down. I set up the Ltd company and went VAT registered, but I haven't been able to put anything through the books as the agency have said it's illegal to work as a teacher (or magician) through your own Ltd company and so will only pay me PAYE?!
This obviously doesn't sound right to me as my accountant would have said, or HMRC when I set up. Anyone know?
