Thanks Jane! Canada was awesome but went far too quickly for our liking! We went to Niagara Falls, up the CN Tower for dinner, on a ferry to Toronto Island, bowling, cinema, theme park, mountain biking to name a few!!!!! Back to work with a bump now though!
As for the 1st days back, my class are mostly lovely as a whole. There are the odd ones with issues and one major behavioural problem which seems to aggravate everything so I will need to sit on that one if you know what I mean! I only have LSA help in the morning so can't rely on her to work with said child. The child is on an IEP but not statemented (should be 1:1). How do you all To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. e with this as well as teaching rest of class?
ERR is like phonics, reading and spelling. They learn sight words, break up words, sound them out and put sounds together to read. To be honest, I'm very new to this so it's being a learning curve!!!!
Hopefully next week will go as smoothly as this week. I just need to know how to deal with this one child in the whole class environment. The child has a behaviour reward chart which seems to be working and as for sanctions, I will use the same as the rest of the class. The LSA is quite good at taking him out if he looks like he's going to have a strop (apparently he does this - what do I do if he has a strop and there isn't an extra adult with me?????).
