And I would kill to work with this age group! I would take the post and get the NQT year out of the way. As an NQT you can only do supply for 5 terms so having done it for 3 years you should only be paid as an unqualified teacher and given supply if no other qualified teacher is available. Sucks doesn't it. I worked supply for 5 years before I got caught out and I am now working as an HLTA until I can find a permanent post to complete my induction.
