I will add to this - when I was on supply and finished a short term contract, the work dried up and I too marketed myself for supply and mainly to get known again, to remind people that I was still looking for a job in order to start my NQT year. I held off from a particular school due to its reputation. This was the school that I ended up doing supply at the one that I am still doing my NQT period at.

What I will say is that sometimes you really do have to be adaptable and not just go with certain choices as work is hard to come by, especially teaching jobs.

I wish you all the luck in the world. It is so hard, I know as I have been there and I still don't know what will happen once my induction period has been completed. But above all DON'T GIVE UP
