Oh crikey! Long winded, drawn-out process... I can't believe they manage to get so many people on the dole! They must have a massive backlog. I guess it all makes sense what they've said so far, except yes, you don't get paid very quickly, so you'll have to watch they don't take it off your allowance twice, when you work, and when you get paid.
