Remembering Names

If it's a new, young class, and you have time in the morning, write each name in the register on a sticker and give out during registration.
Give a fancy sticker for those who keep it on until the end of the day!
How do you remember names?
I used to be able to get half the class during registration, and the other half during the next lesson... but those days are long gone. I try to remember one name from each table now, and call it 'Henrietta's table' for the day. It helps you to remember who is sitting close to Henrietta, and also helps when giving feedback to the teacher if you can say they sit opposite Henrietta etc. It doesn't help when they swap for literacy hour/numeracy hour/home tables/afternoon tables etc!
